Since 1999, the non-profit Vaca Jazz Society (VJS) has existed to promote quality music, of all genres, within our community. VJS members and musicians have a love of music, the performing arts, and music education. Through it our vision is to enrich our community by maintaining an established family tradition, a much needed set of youth outreach and education programs, and advocating a creative and expressive community through music mentorship.

A Day of Jazz!

This incredible-- and completely FREE-- educational opportunity is for music students in grades 6-12! This program benefits students of all levels in their musical journey!
As part of this year's Vacaville Jazz Festival, the Vacaville Jazz Society is proud to partner once again with the world-class Jazz Studies faculty from Sacramento State and professional musicians such as vocal virtuoso Ramana Vieira offer inspiring and hands-on jazz instruction.
Students will participate in instrument-specific masterclasses for trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, bass, drums, guitar and vocals. Additionally there will be a special session focused upon jazz improvisation.

Come celebrate a day full of flavor, rhythm, and community in the heart of Downtown Vacaville!
The Downtown Vacaville Business Improvement District is teaming up with nine amazing restaurants and the Vaca Jazz Society for the Jazz, Wine & Food Festival — a lively event blending great music, local wines, and delicious bites.
This is the 25th Annual Vacaville Jazz Festival on the weekend of the September 19th, 20th and 21st, with Live Music performances at various locations, Jazz Music Workshops, and Music Performances from young music students and professional musicians throughout the weekend at various venues and restaurants.
